Title: Peer Support Specialist

Location: Kentucky River Community Care/ Lee County; Substance Abuse Program

Employment type: Full-Time

Education: High School diploma/GED

Special Skills: Strong care coordination experience, familiarity with community support services (classes).

Primary Duties:

• Help develop and pilot a Peer Recovery Self Care program that will reduce burn out among providers.
• Work directly with clients referred for SUD treatment, engaging them by modeling recovery lifestyle, helping develop relapse prevention programming and planning for life decision.
• They will also manage the implementation of class schedules and participant attendance to prevention programs.
